About the Song

I’m excited to announce the release of a new Christmas Single “Jesus Is The Reason For The Season”. Written with good friend Jared Easter, the song features the stunning vocals of Jared’s cousin Morgan Easter Smith and Grammy winning Dobro ace Rob Ickes.

Last year Jared produced my Thanksgiving single “I Thank You Lord” and Christmas single “Bluegrass Holiday” both of which feature Morgan Easter on lead vocals. Jared and I plan to continue to write, record and release new music together as an ongoing collaboration.

Behind The Song

When Jared and I got together to write “Jesus Is The Reason For The Season” we were discussing how easy it is to get caught up in the Holiday rush, and the commercial aspects of Christmas. We thought it was important to write a song to remind us all of the REAL reason behind the Christmas Season. We hope our song resonates with all who hear it, and brings us back to what Christmas is really all about… the greatest story ever told…..the birth of Jesus.
